My last post was about the new year and some goals and what not. This is not that post all over again. This is my official 2011 Bucket List. I made a list of 52 things I’ve either never done and always wanted to do, things I’d be nervous to do, or things I think I just need to do. Feast your eyes on this list of awesomeness:
1. Do stand up comedy at an open mic night
2. Attend an OSU football game
3. Build a wine rack out of wood
4. Build a big computer desk out of wood
5. See a movie at the Neon Movie Theater
6. Eat something with mayo on it
7. Eat something with sour cream on it
8. Build a website for a non-profit organization
9. Donate clothes to a charity
10. Pay an extra house payment
11. Drive my bodydrop to a show over 5 hours away
12. Paint a black stylized photograph image on a wall in my house
13. Go a whole week with no Facebook
14. Go on a real long bike ride somewhere I’ve never been
15. Have a bonfire at my house
16. Share a whole bottle of wine with my girlfriend
17. Go to a high speed go kart track
18. Go to an out of state concert and stay the night
19. Setup an appointment with a badass tattoo artist, travel to a convention they are attending, and get a tattoo there
20. Go to the Goodguys show in Columbus
21. Go to the gym everyday for a week (and be at the gym a minimum of 3 times every week)
22. Go skydiving
23. Go to a shooting range
24. Go to the library and check out a few books
25. Spend a whole day playing video games
26. Go to a wine tasting
27. Primitive camp somewhere I’ve never been
28. Go to a workshop, seminar, conference, or take a class that focuses on creativity
29. Go to a workshop, seminar, conference, or take a class that focuses on some aspect of web design
30. Go to a workshop, seminar, conference, or take a class that focuses on photography
31. Install tile in my basement
32. Play pool in my basement every day for a week
33. Go on a family vacation
34. Karaoke an 80’s rock song at a bar
35. Pay for a random person’s dinner
36. Drive out to my friend’s house on the other side of PA and stay for the weekend
37. Take a photo of me, Sam, and Leo and use it to create Xmas cards
38. Spend a weekend visiting/helping my grandma
39. Get a straight-razor shave
40. Spend a day fully detailing my car
41. Go to at least 3 big truck shows
42. Run in a charity 5k
43. Ride a jet ski
44. Cook filet mignon on my grill
45. Enter an eating contest
46. Enter a photography or design project in a contest
47. Buy a real cheap motorcycle, fix it up, and ride one for the first time
48. Invite our elderly neighbors over for a healthy home cooked dinner
49. Do some part-time work for at least a week
50. Babysit my niece and nephew for a weekend
51. Eat at a local restaurant that I’ve never been to, and order something that I normally wouldn’t eat
52. Create some type of book and have it printed
I figure I can try to do one a week on average, but I know I’ll procrastinate towards the end and knock out a few in a week. Maybe this will motivate me to try some new things. I’ll also be posting my review/experience/comments after I scratch each of these off the list. I’m excited and I’d love to hear something on your bucket list.
